Leave of Absence
Tutorial: How to Request a Leave of Absence (LoA) in StoneLock
If you need to take a leave of absence from StoneLock, follow these steps to ensure your request is processed smoothly and in accordance with the guidelines.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Confirm Eligibility
Before requesting an LoA, make sure you meet the following criteria:
Rank: You must be at least a Senior Manager or higher.
Duration: Your leave must be a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 4 weeks (28 days). If you need to exceed these limits, you must contact one of the following individuals:
Contact a Executive Head+
2. Understand LoA Rules
Bypassing Minimum/Maximum: To request a leave longer than 28 days or less than 7 days, you must DM one of the listed individuals above.
Rank Requirements: While on LoA, you are exempt from rank requirements such as playtime, sessions, and supervision.
Return Excuse: If you return up to 3 days before the end of the week, you will be excused from rank requirements for that week.
Cooldown: There is a 2-day cooldown between LoA requests, which can be bypassed with a valid reason by contacting the listed individuals.
3. Format Your LoA Request
When making your request, use the following format:
Example:
4. Submit Your Request
Post your formatted LoA request in the designated LoA request channel or platform as per your organizationโs guidelines.
5. Contact for Special Requests
If you need to bypass the standard minimum or maximum duration, or the cooldown period, DM one of the individuals listed:
Contact a Executive Head+
Provide a good reason for your request to increase the chances of approval.
6. Monitor and Follow Up
Acceptance: LoA requests may be reviewed and accepted by LoA Officers. If you are an LoA Officer, you may accept your own request but it must still be justified.
Return Notification: If you return before the end of your stated LoA period, notify the relevant team or platform to ensure your rank requirements are adjusted accordingly.
7. Understand Possible Denials
Your LoA request may be denied for the following reasons:
Incomplete Rank Requirements: Not fulfilling rank requirements for the week before your request.
Exceeding Maximum Duration: Requesting more than 30 days without proper authorization.
Cooldown Violation: Requesting another LoA before the cooldown period ends without valid reason.
8. Update or Cancel Your Request
If your situation changes and you return earlier or later than planned, update your LoA request accordingly. Requests may be removed once you return.
By following these steps, you will ensure your Leave of Absence request is submitted correctly and processed efficiently.
