Resignation Guidelines and Retired Officer Role
In Prison Roleplay, we appreciate the hard work of our High Command and Stone Lock Leadership members. If you decide to step down from your role, this guide explains how to resign, what happens to your rank, and the new role you will get.
Who Can Resign?
You can resign if you hold one of these ranks:
High Command Ranks
Prison Overseer (PO)
Chief Luminary (CL)
Director of Operations (DoO)
Stone Lock Leadership Ranks
Chairman of the Board (CMOTB)
Executive Head (EH)
Head of Directors (HOD)
Project Leader (PJL)
How to Resign
Tell Someone You’re Resigning
Let your leader or team know that you want to step down. You can do this in-game or on Discord.
Give a Reason
Explain why you’re leaving. This helps keep things organized.
Wait for Approval
Once your leader accepts your resignation, it will be final.
Resignation Format
Use this format to send your resignation:
Subject: Resignation from [Your Rank] Message: Hello, I would like to resign from my position as [Your Rank]. Reason: [Brief reason for resigning, e.g., "I no longer have enough time to dedicate to my role."]
Thank you for the opportunity to serve in this position. [Your Username]
What Happens When You Resign?
You Lose Your Rank
After resigning, you will no longer have your current rank or its powers.
You Get the Retired Officer Role
Resigned players are given the Retired Officer role.
What Is the Retired Officer Role?
Purpose: Shows that you used to be a leader.
Responsibilities: None – this role has no tasks or powers.
Perks:
You will still be recognized as a former leader.
You can apply to return to leadership later if you meet the requirements.
Other Important Notes
When Should You Resign? Resign if you can no longer do your duties or want to leave for personal reasons.
Coming Back to Leadership Retired Officers can ask to return to a leadership role if there’s an open spot and they qualify.
If You’re Removed for Misconduct If you are removed for breaking rules, you will not get the Retired Officer role.
